EDDIE HAWKS
INDUCTED INTO
'HALL OF FAME'
Eddie Hawks of Vilonia, owner of
Hawks Mobile Homes,
was recently honored with induction into the Arkansas Manufactured Housing
Association’s “Hall of
Fame” .
The honor was presented to Mr. Hawks
during the 38th Annual AMHA Convention, held September 24-25 at The
DoubleTree Hotel in Little Rock, AR.
As has become customary, the announcement was made through an audio-visual
presentation paying tribute to the recipient’s many accomplishments.
Mr. Hawks induction included the following:
During his career, this
individual has built a family-owned business into one of - if not THE -
most-recognized names in manufactured housing in Arkansas... Celebrating
his 40th year in this industry, tonight’s honoree has witnessed the
evolution of our product from it’s humble beginnings to today’s
factory-built structure - as both a manufacturer and as a retailer…
His work ethic and love of this business have taken him on an
extraordinary journey though this industry - from production worker,
through sales and management for factory and retail operations throughout
Arkansas, to the ownership of one of the state’s most successful retail
sales centers… He has served the industry with honor and distinction
- as a supporter of the Association and as a member of the state’s
regulatory agency during turbulent times… He has been a constant
advocate for the betterment of the industry, and has dedicated his adult
life to providing affordable housing and unparalleled customer service to
the people of Arkansas.
The honor came as a complete surprise to Mr. Hawks, who accepted the award
from 2007 Hall of Fame inductee Rodney Smith with a heart-felt ‘Thank You’
to Convention attendees.
